Oil pastel is a great lubricous drawing medium, I use Sennelier and Grumbacher. Sadly I think Grumbacher is discontinuing their product; I have been trying to purchase any I find at discontinued prices and the usual online shops don't carry any.

Pear and Stripes Forever

This picture was painted for our local Longmont Arts Council's annual auction. This is a fund raiser to help support the 2008 Longmont Studio Tour. The title was whimsical and in the holiday spirit.
